# Demonstration image source

## mri-sagittal.png

- Content: a sagittal MR image of a human head; 256 × 256 pixels.
- Source: `s1045.ima.gz`, distributed with Matplotlib 3.10.8, in `matplotlib/mpl-data/sample_data/`.
- Official MRI example: https://matplotlib.org/3.7.5/gallery/specialty_plots/mri_demo.html
- Official source file: https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/blob/main/lib/matplotlib/mpl-data/sample_data/s1045.ima.gz
- License: Matplotlib license; complete installed license retained in `MATPLOTLIB-LICENSE.txt`. Copyright (c) 2012– Matplotlib Development Team; All Rights Reserved.
- Conversion: the gzip file was decompressed and read as a 256 × 256 array of unsigned 16-bit integers, as in the official example. Pixel values 0–55040 were linearly mapped to 0–255 and exported as an 8-bit grayscale PNG. No spatial resampling, rotation, image synthesis, or enhancement was applied.

This is a public software demonstration image, not an examination supplied by a radgate clinic. Do not attribute it to any example clinic. The source does not establish a sequence name, field strength, slice thickness, diagnostic conclusion, or current clinical quality standard. It is one static sagittal image, not an axial/coronal volume or a DICOM series.
